What is Striking a Chord in My Heart

For about a year now I have known of a ministry called Freedom 4/24, which "exists to raise awareness of the rampant sexual exploitation of women around the world. As a non-profit organization, Freedom 4/24's mission is to provide a pathway to freedom for the sexually exploited through Christ-centered ministries that seek to rescue enslaved women and children."
I have been wanting to run in the race this month to as a way to support this great ministry. What I didn't know about was a second ministry, called The International Justice Mission which partners with Freedom 4/24 and is an incredible agency in and of itself. The IJM "brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to secure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to ensure that public justice systems - police, courts and laws - effectively protect the poor."


These ministries give me inspiration to seek justice and love mercy in a way I have not been inspired before. As of right this minute I do not know my part exactly, except giving some money at the concert, running the race in support and immediately praying. I pray that the Lord would make me faithful in doing something that by His grace, I would grow in what the Lord has shown us to do, "to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with my God". I hope this video will inspire you in some way.
