Teaching the Little People in My Life

Well, thankfully the Lord carried us through and blessed us with a great summer, and we made it to today. With lots of rain on the outside and lots of excitement inside our home, we commenced upon THE FIRST DAY OF THE DALY ACADEMY 2011-2012!!

Look at this bunch of students that I have the privilege of teaching!! I couldn't ask for a better bunch, they are so dear to me these little turkies!!!

Here is my first student, Nathan, bright, tender, conscientious, and just a love. So excited for him to start 4th grade!

My second student Levi, going into second grade, is also bright, sweet, snuggly and tenderhearted. So glad to have him home with me.

Miss Maryann, kind of did kindergarten last year, but really is only five so we are saying she starts Kindergarten today, she is a newer reader, who loves little stuffed toys, caring for little people and little things, especially her little sister, Karli. Love keeping her close by and getting all the hugs and smiles she gives.

Norah cutie, is my preschooler, and a dear to me. She is always lending a hand and is generous to all she knows especially her siblings. She has the gift of gab like her mother ; ) which we hope to redeem for the glory of God (in my case also). Love that precious child!

Karli brings up the rear as our littlest student and here you see I don't really know what she is studying this year, except loving and obeying her mommy and daddy. She is cute, but stubborn, loving but strong. So she has already and will add challenge to our days, but we can't imagine any other way. We ALL love having Karli nearby!!! She is well loved here!

The school day is just about over here at 2:00, I have a little more reading to do with Levi and some discussion to do with Nate on his reading. To the glory of God, this has been a good day. He has enabled me to rise early with the hubs and not return to my bed, spend some time in Bible and prayer, and hit the ground running. I hope to make the Bible and prayer the hallmark, the cornerstone of my school year. God make me faithful in that, because without Him, it is true, I really can do nothing, nothing.

Dear Father, I am thankful today for the privilege of mothering these children and getting to teach them too. God give me the grace to do it well, for Your honor and Your glory! Amen! So be it!
